Happy Birthday Olga!

A birthday represents an anniversary of the day you were born, a date that is celebrated by most people. To other people, it is a date they would rather forget; but if those people would only know how a special that day is, they would be in union to celebrate that day. The reason? Because you were born.

To the sweet and charming lady, Olga. Happy birthday!

The birthday celebration held last June11 at Usfan was made complete by Artscooking menu. Here's the list: Fish Fillet in Sweet & Sour Sauce, Roast Beef, Chicken with Cashew Nuts, Chopsuey, Chinese Fried Rice, Corn Soup and Sapin-sapin.

Happy Birthday Zofia!

First birthday is a special day that will forever mark the rest of one's life! That is why we need to enjoy it, relish it, share the joy and make the most of it.

As we join Zofia in her first birthday celebration last May 28 held at Obhur, we are one with her family in wishing her grace and may all the good things come her way.

To you Zofia, a splash of rainbow in this special day of your life. Happy birthday!

And since the occassion is a "first" birthday celebration, we are happy to share for the "first time" our new set of table skirtings. Aba! imported pa yan from the Philippines! We take pride in this new addition to our food presentation as many agreed that the set-up is a little bit... hmmm....elegant! Ehem!

40's and Fabulous

They say being 40 (or above) is where you can just relax into being who you are. Not consumed with the trappings of wealth, nor obsessed over things that most younger men obsess over - image, money, wealth, etc.

Perhaps, thing really do mellow with age!

There's a new depth of bliss as you enter your 40th year that you never thought possible. You take true joy in other's accomplishments . . . in the ambitions of your friends . . . in the achievements of your significant others. You recognize the small joys of life . . and celebrate them lavishly!

You've already made many mistakes and celebrated many victories. And you've lived through them all. You've survived school, the "entry level" jobs, even the the disapproval of your in-laws.

But more importantly, reaching that age, you flourished as well. Now you can go about living your life confident of your own personal choices and resilient to criticism . . . constructive or otherwise.

And so during the following events, as we celebrate 40 something birthdays of the following people, we at Artscooking witnessed the evidence of the level of wisdom, and their desire that while young enough to have them put in use.

Cheers!

As long as Filipinos in Jeddah find a reason to gather, Artscooking is always ready to provide their catering needs.

In this event held last March 16 at Usfan, we served food to our Muslim brothers on the occasion of Dedication of Baby Joffer.

But kudos to her parents and friends, they find another cause of celebration within the same event - a get-together party as well!

Our menu consisted of the following:

Beef Teriyaki
Corn Soup
Fried Rice
Mixed Veggies
Pansit Malabon
Sapinsapin
Shrimp Casserole

Congratulations Ninong Bong!

We Filipinos never fail to celebrate small blessings. Whenever we acquire something dear to us, like new celphone, laptop, promos, vacays, or even new clothes, we invite SO's (significant others) or closed peers to share in our delight. But with blessing as remarkable as new car...ooh! This is a big reason to celebrate.

So, we tried to accomodate Mr. Ruel Villaceran's request of providing snacks for his peers in their newly-built factory in Industrial Area. Although we only prepared two menu for this event, we were suprised to learn that we will be feeding the whole factory staff. But no worry! Artscooking was able to rise to the occasion.

The good news is even non-Filipinos appreciated the Pinoy dish. Here's the evidence courtesy of Mr. Ruel himself.

Our menu? The perfect combination...pancit malabon and puto.
