It was a full-packed Thursday with two simultaneous caterings in Al Hamra Ville, and another for pick-up. These people are all "repeat customers" and we could not say 'no'. What we did however was to beg off for an hour or two, or how we say it.... "pwede later" (with matching grin of our face).
We were just toying the idea that if we only have a choice, it would be nice to have one on a Thursday and the other one on a Friday. That way, we could have stayed a while with the celebrations, and made "chika" to our new-found friends who, we heard, felt we're snubbing their parties. But let us be clear: "we are NOT snubs. We were just SO exhausted."
Not that we are complaining, though. We loved it. In fact, it was a case of "eustress", you know, that feeling of stressed out but in a good way. Anyways, here are the events that transpired July 3, 2009:
Event 1: Criselle's Birthday
The lovely girl on the picture is Criselle. At the age 7, she is slowly showing her charms as a woman. Hala! Pareng Boyet, prepare for a long-line of suitors when she grows up.
The party was held at their humble abode at Al Hamra, with an expectant guests of nearly a 100, we wonder how they fit. Here's the menu we prepared during the occasion: Hamonado, Fish Fillet in Sweet & Sour sauce, Chicken with Cashew Nuts, Chinese fried rice, Cream of mushroom soup, assorted Pinoy sweets composed of empanada, pichi-pichi, tarts, & kutsinta.
