Happy Birthday Elgene Gerold

Share

What to get a 1-year old boy for his birthday? Simple: A birthday celebration in a very festive place with all colorful baloons and free face-painting spree by a clown!

Yeah... the world is truly perfect to our birthday boy celebrant Elgene Gerold.

The celebration was held at Party Place of KFC Thalia with our NOW new resident clown and face-painter at the same time (ask us if you need one in your parties). See that cute little butterfly girl and spiderboy? They truly made a spark by adding flavors & spice during the otherwise traditional (Wink!) party

Here's Artscooking menu of the event:
  • Beef Teriyaki
  • Beef in Mushroom Sauce
  • Chinese Fried Rice
  • Chicken Pastel
  • Chicken with Sesame Seeds
  • Fish Fillet
  • Mixed Veggie with Tofu
  • Pichi-pichi

I did this one up this evening and my first reaction is that the soy sauce is over indexed in this recipe. The result is very salty tasting steak. Like others, I grabbed a couple of beautifully marbled ribeyes. rather than the sirloin. They were cut into 1/4 inch slices (against the grain), and marinated for nearly a full 24 hours. After pulling them off the grill the meat was *very tender* and perfectly seared...recipe was spot on there. I'll give this one a try again, but will add a little more ginger, garlic, and brown sugar to curb the saltiness.Oliver

I have lived in Hawaii for several years and this recipe is as good as it gets! Can also be done with chicken. Leave it to Paula to do it right! Great for guests and it's simple!
